Dominic Wheatley (born 28 April 1994) is a British racing driver competing in the 2022 MINI Challenge UK JCW. He is a former MINI Challenge Trophy competitor but has since moved up a class into the 2022 MINI Challenge UK JCW class, a support race to the British Touring Car Championship.
Racing career[2]
Dominic started in motorsport at the age of 13 and, after several years of karting, Wheatley made his car racing debut in 2016, racing in the Celtic Speed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup. Wheatley spent three years in this series with moderate success before moving to the Mini Challenge Great Britain - Cooper Pro championship in 2019. With a strong start in the Cooper Pro championship, Wheatley won the Newcomer's Cup and came 3rd overall. Wheatley improved on his performance in his second season in the newly renamed Quaife MINI Challenge Trophy, coming 2nd overall and missing out on the title by only 11 points. Dom then came back for his third season and took the championship title despite not winning a race all season.
After winning the title in 2021, Wheatley joined Graves Motorsport to compete in the 2022 MINI Challenge UK JCW.[3]
