Donald Blessing Rice Sr. (June 20, 1909 - March 15, 1987) was an American businessman and politician who served as the mayor of Frederick, Maryland from 1951 to 1954. He was the father of Donald Rice Jr., the secretary of the Air Force.[1]
Business career[edit]
Rice opened a service station in Frederick in 1929, and in 1956, incorporated it as Donald Rice Tire Co. Today, Rice Tire comprises 10 locations in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.[2]
