Donyshia Benjamin is director of marketing and digital solutions for Emmis Communications' flagship station, Hot 97—with over 20 years of experience in 360 integrated multimedia campaigns.
Career
Donyshia began her marketing career working for Madison Square Garden as the New York Knicks Marketing Partnerships Assistant in 1994. She was also the College Basketball Game operations director on game night in 1995.
As director of marketing she has led local, regional, national and international campaigns for clients such as Boost Mobile, Ford Motor Company, New York City Department of Health, Pepsi, and many others.
Her vision is also credited for the establishment and continuous growth of HOT 97 Summer Jam.
As director of marketing for Emmis New York, Donyshia guides digital marketing strategy.
She is responsible for new media and digital marketing efforts for all of Emmis New York properties. She is also extensively involved in various strategic business development initiatives for Emmis Digital, Relationship Marketing, InCite Community Outreach and e-commerce divisions.

Benjamin became President of the Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation in the Spring of 2002, raising almost $1,000,000. The Foundation has committed itself to fulfilling its mission to be responsive to the needs and concerns of the community and create a positive environment by organizing various concerts and events, as well as participating with organizations such as the Chancellor's Literacy Program, the United Negro College Fund, Walk to Cure Diabetes, Safe Horizon, September 11th Fund, and AIDS Walk New York.
