Career[edit]

doubleCChanel previously known as Tokyo : JapaneseJunkie and Empress Tokyo (Tokyo) gained notoriety after the release of one of her first Jersey Club songs, "Da Baddest (Break Da Sh*t) [1] on YouTube. Based on the success of the "Da Baddest", doubleCChanel decided to continue her Jersey Club vocalist and rap career. Her voice was sampled on the majority of all Jersey Club songs produced from 2011-2016. One of her most popular Jersey Club songs, "Bouncing"[2] produced by DJ Lil C4 and DJ Bake gained over 8 million views and counting on Youtube, Spotify, Soundcloud and Apple Music. "Bouncing" earned its spot on Billboard's list of Best Jersey Club Music Songs Ever. Whilst releasing Jersey Club and rap music, doubleCChanel went viral on YouTube and WorldStarHipHop for her video "Things People From Jersey Say" [3]. Following the massive feedback from her viral video, she released "Shake That Donk"[4] and a collaboration remix to "Bouncin'" with Mad Decent's Swizzymack. After success of her Jersey Club songs, doubleCChanel became more focused on her career as a rapper. She released her first EP, Ms. New Jersey, then Tokyo Tales, and her most recent EP, Flight 543 under the name of Empress Tokyo. Folllowing her last EP, she changed her stage name to doubleCChanel to reflect a maturer aspect of her music. doubleCChanel's music has been featured on Hot 97, Sirius, Power 105.1 and has expanded across and beyond the United States to Europe and Asia.
