Maxio ((/ˈmæksi.oʊ/ MAKS-ee-oh; born January 23, 2004),[1] known online as Maxioisdead, is an American YouTuber, Animator, and Music artist. He is known for making storytime animations on his YouTube channel. Also Known for his music album "Sacred"..[2]
Maxio was born on January 23, 2004, in the United States.
Career[edit]
Maxio first joined YouTube on June 22, 2017. He uploaded several animation videos on his channel mainly based on stickmen fights based on the anime "Dragon Ball".
On December 9, he uploaded a video titled as "Goku's New Form????". This was his first video to gain him traction.
Most of the time in 2019 he made several animation videos which included his series such as "Shitty Animation Compilation" and several others. At the later half of 2019, Maxio's upload schedule began to shorten due to several reasons he discussed on his Instagram later in 2020.
In 2020, Maxio uploaded a video titled as "Introduction" in which he explained things about him, and his future plans for his YouTube channel and onwards. It was his first storytime animation video which he would later expand on, on his channel. He also started uploading more storytime videos and gameplays. On June 30, he uploaded a storytime animation named "Merch Announcement!" in which he announced that he launched a merch store for his channel (deleted as of 2023). On July 6, he uploaded "Y R V La Z" which gained a lot of views quickly. In that video, someone on Instagram took a screenshot and turned it into a meme[3] After that, he turned to making more gameplays and started uploading only gameplays. He played Five Nights At Freddy's, Geometry Dash, Hello Neighbor: Hide And Seek & Getting Over It.
In late 2020, he began making music and made an album called "Sacred[2]" consisting of 9 songs.
In 2021, he posted a story showing that the album had gained 22K Streams from all over the platforms. He changed his username on all of his platforms from "Maxio" to "Maxioisdead"[4]. After a few weeks, Maxio deleted a lot of his videos[5]. "I wasn’t really enjoying creating that kind of stuff. So, I thought I should just get rid of them.", Maxio stated in an Interview with Medium[6]
After that, he mainly used his Instagram account[4] to post stories and interact with his audience. He also made a Twitter account[7], which he said that he only uses to check other people's tweets and has no interest in tweeting himself.[4]
In 2022, he announced on his Instagram that he made a clips channel named "Ded Boi"[8] to experiment Youtube's algorithm. He has gained over 400,000 views on that channel alone as of late 2022.
Upcoming Projects[edit]
Maxio has been working on a Horror Story Novel, which he originally wrote as a game.[6] However, he stopped making games and decided to turn the story into a book. Although, he has not revealed many details about the plot or title of the book. It remains to be seen when the novel will be completed and released.
Maxio mentioned in an interview[6] that he is currently working on a new Animated Sitcom, similar to "The Amazing World of Gumball" and "Regular Show". In addition, Maxio, posted a tweet on his official Twitter account,[7] teasing the new project with an animated visual image of two characters named Max and Abel, along with the caption "Max and Abel, 2024...".[9]
Dragon Ball Extreme (Series)[edit]
"Dragon Ball Extreme" was a cancelled animated series that Maxio attempted to create based on the popular anime "Dragon Ball". On January, 2022, Maxio uploaded a video titled "An Unfinished Project..."[10] on his YouTube channel. The video was a preview of a project he had been working on, which he referred to as DBX. It was later revealed that DBX stood for Dragon Ball Extreme The series was initially created as a comic when Maxio was 14 years old, but he picked it up again in 2021 with the intention of turning it into an animated series. However, due to scheduling issues and the complexities of collaborating with a team, Maxio was unable to complete the series, as said by him in an interview with Dan Thatcher on Medium[6]
Personal Life[edit]
In 2021, he posted several stories telling his audience that his health was quickly declining and for that reason he took many breaks from being active on Instagram as well. He stated that he has Neuropathic pain, and Insomnia[7]. In a recent interview with Medium,[6] Maxio revealed that he has been using an A.I-Generated voice for his Storytime Animations due to experiencing vocal strain while recording videos. He explained that this was because he does not speak in real life and is still getting used to recording it.
