Doug Hendrickson is an American sports agent who primarily works with NFL players. He is the Executive Vice President of Football at Wasserman.[1]

Early and personal life[edit]

Hendrickson grew up in the South Bay and attended Monta Vista High School[2] He attended San Jose State University, where he played baseball [3] and basketball. He and his wife Shyla[4] reside in Marin County with their three[5] children.

Career[edit]

Hendrickson was trained and mentored by basketball agent, Bill Duffy and in 1999 he became a National Football League Players Association Certified Contract Advisor.[6] Hendrickson was Director of Football for Octagon (sports agency)[7] from 2001 through December 2013. In early 2014 he, joined ISE as the President of Football.[8] Hendrickson is known for his more holistic[9] approach to the sports management industry, recruiting players who fit his character requirements as well as promoting the emphasis of financial and philanthropic responsibility to his clients.[10] In 2018, Hendrickson left ISE and joined Wasserman, citing the agency's wide array of resources and client-focused approach as the major appeals. In 2016, Hendrickson was named by USA Today as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful People in the NFL,[12] In 2017 Hendrickson negotiated over $200 million in contracts,[13] which was the sixth-highest figure among football agents and 40th among certified agents across all sports.[14][15]
