Doug Waggoner is an American business executive. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Echo Global Logistics, a Chicago-based third-party logistics provider, since December 2006.[1] He served as a member of the company’s board of directors from 2008 to 2021 and as chairman of the board from 2015 to 2021.
Career
Prior to joining Echo Global Logistics, Waggoner founded SelecTrans, LLC, a freight management software provider based in Chicago.
From April 2004 to December 2005, he served as Chief Executive Officer of USF Bestway. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing for USF Corporation from January 2002 to April 2004.
Waggoner also held several executive roles at Daylight Transport, including President and Chief Operating Officer (1999–2002), Executive Vice President (1998–1999), and Chief Information Officer (1998). Earlier in his career, he held positions in sales, operations, marketing, and engineering at Yellow Transportation, where he later became Vice President of Customer Service.
Education
Waggoner graduated in 1980 from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Economics degree.
