Downtown Jeddah is a project announced by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in September 2019 to redevelop the existing waterfront as part of the kingdom’s vision 2030 to support Jeddah’s ambition of becoming one of the world’s top 100 cities.[1] Upon its completion, it will serve as a tourist attraction and residential and business hub.[2] The project will contribute $5 billion of investment over 10 years as well as guarantee 36,000 new jobs.[1]
Project Specification[edit]

- new 12,000 residential units
- new museums
- cultural and social centers
- business and innovation centers
- gardens and amusement parks
- sports facilities
- hotels and hospitality facilities
- retail spaces
- areas for seaside activities and walking paths
