Doyin Oluntona[edit]

Doyin Oluntona, adjudged an alien of extraordinary ability by the USA government in 2008, serves as the co-founder for Mzuzah. Prior to Mzuzah Africa, she was the President/CEO for global non-profit under the JA Worldwide umbrella, serving in the USA and Nigeria offices. She led the organization to win several global awards, including Innovation, Best Performance, Media, and Quality Awards. Most notably, she was granted the Fuqua Global Excellence Award for positioning the member nation she managed as number one out of 106 countries globally within a two-year evaluation period. She was elected as the African representative on the JA Worldwide Member Nation Council.  

Doyin has worked across a variety of sectors spanning the legal, corporate, and nonprofit sectors across Africa and in the United States. She has worked on Boards directly with CEO’s of major multinationals as well as indigenous corporations such as Chevron; Schlumberger; Coca-Cola; Dangote, Cadbury, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Accenture, Citibank, UBA, Stanbic IBTC Bank, FCMB, Shell Oil Company just to name a few and several government Ministers, such as Energy, Environment and Trade and managed those boards for success with a track record of solid board engagement, over 80% of board members personally attend all board meetings.  She is adept at engaging closely and pro-actively with high-level executives and partners at various management levels. She has maintained a solid track record of building alliances and working with diverse stakeholders effectively in creating win/win solutions.  Her experiences working on international and domestic platforms have allowed her to cultivate a unique and diverse point of view which has proven valuable in the projects that she manages. With dynamic leadership abilities, she excels at balancing internal management with external impact & visibility. As a talented strategic planner, she is accustomed to working with the big picture in mind and anticipates how current actions may affect future decisions. Creative and innovative, she is able to effectively handle complex problems and issues. She is friendly, outgoing, and energetic. An avid multi-tasker, She enjoys working “in the midst of the action,” and is an expert at keeping her team motivated and dedicated to the end. Doyin is a certified attorney and alumni of the Stanford Business School, EPNL program. She has earned an MBA from Texas A&M University, Mays Business School; an LLM degree in "International Business" from the American University, Washington College of Law; and an LLB from the University of Jos, Jos Nigeria.

Passion[edit]

She is passionate about social and developmental issues, especially as relates to the empowerment of next generation leaders in sub-Saharan Africa and other initiatives. She has worked relentlessly in the field of education and learning, developing innovative programs for sustainability, financial literacy and other curricula to address the gaps on the continent.  She also works to stimulate effective social responsibility dialogues between multinational corporations, the private sector, and civil society organizations across the West African region.  Mzuzah partners have included The World Bank, The International Finance Corporation (IFC), and a host of multinational and local organizations. She has collaborated with and managed boards comprised of CEOs representing several multinational and indigenous organizations, including but not limited to: Coca-Cola, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, The Dangote Group, Deloitte, Schlumberger, Citibank, and UBA.
