Dr. Shahid Siddiqui is an educationist, teacher, researcher, columnist and novelist . His books are published by renowned publishers, e.g., Oxford University Press. Currently He is working with National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad as Dean Social Sciences. And a former Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad.

Early Life and Education[edit]

He was born in Rawalpindi on 21st December, 1957. He got his early education in Rawalpindi and went to F.G. Sir Syed College, Mall road for his Intermediate and later obtained his Masters in English Language and Literature from Gordon College, Punjab University, M. Ed TESOL from the University of Manchester, UK, and Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics/Language Education from the University of Toronto, Canada

Career[edit]

Dr. Siddiqui is a former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Allama Iqbal Open University. He also associated with Institute for Educational Development,the Aga Khan University, Karachi Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), in Sawabi, Lahore School of Economics (LSE), Lahore and University of Management and Technology (UMT). He is currently associated with National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad as Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences.
