History
Arjun Vaidya left his job in Private Equity at L Catterton and launched Dr. Vaidya’s in 2016.[4] Dr. Vaidya’s owns 96 FDA-approved formulations for Ayurvedic proprietary medicine.[5] Its products are available for sale on multiple platforms like Amazon, Nykaa, Netmeds, Pharmeasy and Medlife, Noble Plus and Twenty Four Seven, etc.[6] On June 4, 2019, CESC Ventures Ltd., an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group Company, invested 32.2 Crores into Dr. Vaidya’s.[7]
Awards and events
In 2019, Arjun Vaidya, CEO of Dr. Vaidya’s, was awarded the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia[8] and BusinessWorld 40 Under 40.[9] In January 2020, Dr. Vaidyas was awarded the Youth SMB Award by Amazon at the Amazon SMBHav conference in New Delhi.[10] It also received the Retail Startup Awards from the Retail Leadership Summit.[11]
