Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an online asymmetric multiplayer survival game developed by Japanese studio Dimps and published by Bandai Namco. It is a one-versus-seven game based on the Dragon Ball franchise in which one player, the Raider, takes on the role of a villain from the series and must defeat up to seven other players, humans called the Survivors who must escape the Raider. The map contains five Zones, lettered A to E, each of which contains a Power Key. The Survivors must collect these keys to power up the time machine and escape the Raider.[1] It takes place within the same universe as the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series.[2]

The game was announced on November 16, 2021, through a surprise trailer dropped on Bandai Namco's YouTube channel.[3] In August of 2022, the game held a closed beta. The game released two months later, on October 14th, 2022 for all platforms.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers received mixed reviews upon release, with criticism aimed at its monetization, such as a battle pass system and a gacha mechanic. The game has been continually updated with new seasons, adding new villains from the series, cosmetics, and items.
