Dragutin Filipović

Dragutin Filipović (Serbian: Драгутин Филиповић; 1840-1900) is best remembered as Minister of the Army of Serbia in the Ministry of Defence from 24 November 1885 to 23 March 1886.

In 1885 Dragutin Filipović, as a machine gunner, took part in the battles on Ovče Polje, Carevo selo, Vinica and other conflicts. He broke out through the Kačanica gorge to Kosovo Polje and cut off the retreat. About this time, King Milan Obrenović [[Serbo-Bulgarian War|declared war on Bulgaria in 1885.
