Dream Games is a mobile gaming company based in Istanbul, Turkey.
Dream Games became the fastest-growing unicorn in Turkey and hit a market capitalization of $2.75 billion.[1]
History
Dream Games was founded in 2019 by former executives at Peak Games. The company first started developing its puzzle game Royal Match with a $7.5 million seed investment.[2] After soft launching the game on Google Play Store and App Store for selected markets in July 2020, the company released the game worldwide on 1 March 2021.[3][4]
While releasing the game worldwide, the company raised $50 million – the largest Series A raised by a startup in Turkey to date – to develop casual puzzle games and help build a following for its first title.[5] Shortly after the Series A investment, the company raised $155 million more, valuing the business at $1 billion within three months of launching Royal Match worldwide.[6]
In mid-January 2022, Dream Games raised an additional $255 million in a new round of funding, and the company now has a value of $2.75 billion. In the latest round of financing, BlackRock became an investor.[7] By 2022, Royal Match was played by more than 13 million players each month.[7]
