Droeloe (stylized as DROELOE) is a Dutch interdisciplinary art duo consisting of producer Vincent Rooijers and visual designer Hein Hamers. They are known for their singles "Running Away",[1] "Backbone",[2] and "Looking Back."[3]

Career

Vincent Rooijers had a musical upbringing and began rapping and making music at age 14. Hein Hamers began producing music at age 10 and was heavily influenced by hardstyle music. Hein developed an interest in visual design and studied image and media technology at Utrecht School of the Arts, where the duo met.[4]

Droeloe gained recognition through their "Pokoe Pack" mixes on SoundCloud.[5] In 2016, they caught the attention of San Holo, who encouraged them to release music through his label bitbird. Their singles "Make My Day" and "ZzZ" garnered praise and support from artists like Martin Garrix and Trap Nation.

The duo's remix of "We Don't Talk Anymore" by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez has over 27 million Spotify streams.[6] Their single "Wake the Warrior" quickly gained over 500,000 SoundCloud streams.[7]

In 2017, Droeloe released their debut EP "A Moment In Time", which included the hit track "Sunburn" with over 39 million Spotify streams.[8] They also collaborated with San Holo on "Lines of the Broken".[9]

In 2018, they released the EP "The Choices We Face" followed by a headline tour in the United States.[10]

In 2019, Droeloe teamed up with artists like Zeds Dead and released the EP "A Promise Is Made", followed by a tour across North America and Europe.[11]
