Drogo K. Montague, M.D., is an American physician. He is a member of the Center for Men's Health in the Department of Urology at the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as a Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.[1][2][3]
Career[edit]
Montague attended the University of Michigan for both his undergraduate studies and medical training, earning a Doctor of Medicine with honors in 1968.[4][5] He completed his urology residency study from 1968 to 1973 at the Cleveland Clinic and has been there ever since.[6][7]
Research[edit]
Montague's areas of expertise include penile reconstructive surgery for Peyronie's disease and congenital penile curvature, as well as prosthetic surgery for both male urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction.[8][9][10][11] He researched on the Genitourinary manifestations of sickle cell disease and also on the results of Surgery to Preserve Organs in Penile Cancer.[12][13][14][15]
Montague is a Professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He is currently a chairman and member of the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute Executive Committee.[16][17]
Awards and recognition[edit]
He was awarded the F. Brantley Scott Award of Excellence in 2011, the Ronald W. Lewis Lifetime Achievement Award from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America in 2016, and the Presidential Citation from the AUA in 2016.[citation needed]
