Dsquared2 is a fashion brand founded by the Canadian twin brothers, Dean and Dan Caten.[1] After dropping out of Parsons School of Design in New York at age 19, the brothers began at a Toronto-based fashion label, eventually becoming joint head designers.
In 1991, the brothers moved to Italy (their father's birthplace) where they worked with fashion brands Versace and Diesel[2] before launching the Dsquared2 brand in 1994, backed by Renzo Rosso, the founder of Diesel.
Brand
The brand's slogan is "Born in Canada, living in London, made in Italy". The twins have also worked on other projects; they have appeared on America's Next Top Model and co-hosted their own show Launch My Line.[2] Celebrities associated with the brand include the singer Fergie,[3] Madonna, Britney Spears, and Beyoncé.[2] Stars such as Christina Aguilera[4] and Rihanna have also appeared in their runway shows.

Originally a high-end denim brand, Dsquared2 now includes a variety of items in their collections. Launched in 2003, the women's wear collection now accounts for up to 40% of the brand's total sales.[2] Eyewear company Marcolin designs, produces, and distributes the brand's eyewear collection.[5] The brand has also released fragrances for men and women.[6]

Stores
Dsquared2 opened its flagship store in London in 2015 on the corner of Savile Row.[7] The store interior is different from previous ones, which had rough-hewn timber walls and fireplaces, a nod to their Canadian roots.[2] Recent store openings include Miami, Doha, Los Angeles, New York, Baku, Rome, Istanbul, and Madrid.[8]
