DTI AG is an IT services company whose main business is the provision of consulting and implementation services for computer systems in the fields of enterprise search, document management, forms processing, digital mailroom, and big data analytics. The name DTI is an abbreviation of Document, Text, Information management. Founded in 1994, the company is based in Wil, in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. It is predominantly owned by its employees, the largest shareholders being Heinz Bachmann (CEO) and Peter Angehrn (CTO). DTI AG delivers its services primarily to organizations based in the German-speaking areas of Europe, and claims Novartis, UBS, Bayer and the International Atomic Energy Agency among its customers.[1]
DTI works with a range of technologies, including Microsoft SharePoint, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, Apache Hadoop, and has partnerships with a number of commercial software vendors including Sinequa,[2] Optimal Systems,[3] Basware[4] and Top Image Systems.[5]
Awards
In 2016, DTI AG was part of a consortium (DTI was responsible for all aspects of search) honored with a silver medal[6] in the "Best of Swiss Web 2016" awards, for the implementation of SharePoint on the Swiss Federal Assembly's main website at https://www.parlament.ch.
