Daryn Scott Miller (born September 10, 1984) better known by his stage name Duece Hagerty (stylized Duece Hagerty), is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, record executive and actor. On March 2, 2018, Duece Hagerty announced via interview that he would be releasing a new album. His 8th solo project Mars OG (Duece Hagerty album) was released April 20,2018

Early life[edit]

Daryn Scott Miller was born in Santa Monica, California. He is of African-American, French Creole Decent. After his parents separated, Miller traveled between his fathers house (South Central) and moms house in Inglewood, California, an apartment complex 30 minutes west of Los Angeles, when he was 13. Miller said he grew up listening to 2pac, Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Notorious B.I.G. and Cam'ron, but after moving to Inglewood, he started listening to Lil Wayne & Suga Free. His first rap name was Duece Blam, but later changed it to Duece Hagerty. He attended Audubon Junior-Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California. .[1]

Career[edit]

In 2011 he released his debut solo mixtape, Weeds, and later that year released a brand new mixtape called Community Service. Duece Hagerty released "Winning Season" November 2012 which was a collaborative mixtape with "The Blammers" a Hip-Hop group from his label. In August 2013, he released "Winning Season 2" the sequel. The 15-track project featured tracks Trap Back Jumpin (Blam-Mix), Ain't Worried Bout Nuthin (Blam-Mix), and Bout Me (Blam-Mix).

His debut album titled California Native was released on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013, and featured tracks Walkin' Like I'm Ballin', Smile, South Central, and She's On The Internet. Duece Hagerty released "Rap Genius", featuring 20 tracks, February 2014, with the stand out single "Criminals" featuring Death Row's former artist, Tupac Shakur. Duece Hagerty released "California Summertime" August 2015, with features from Kayoss The Rockstar, Jane Doe, and Fuse of 808 Mafia. He released "MFKMR (My Fans Kept Me Relevant) in March 2016, which features tracks Casualties, West Side, East Side, and My Hustle Pays Me. In July 2016 he collaborated with a few of his favorite producers and released "California Summertime 2", which also features production from Vybe Beatz, Purps Beats of 808 Mafia, and Bravestarr Beats.

On September 9th, one day before his birthday, Duece Hagerty performed at The Union Club. After his set concluded, he announced to the crowed that new music would be dropping soon. Duece Hagerty announced via interview that he would be releasing a new album, His 8th solo project Mars OG (Duece Hagerty album) was released April 20,2018


"I've been behind the scenes working on Mars OG for a year straight. One day I decided it was finally time to release the album & give the fans what they've been waiting for. I knew Spotify, Apple Music, & Tidal could help me reach more listeners than passing out cd's hand to hand, where as we are in a digital age that has very little use for cd's anymore. As CEO of Blammin Hot Entertainment, I have connections with Concert Promoters, R&B artist, Up & coming talent, as well as film producers, I'm gonna use every resource i've got to take BHE to the top."


Prior to the release of Mars OG (CD), Duece Hagerty has released 7 singles off the album, Pants Sag,Jays On, G S**t, Swisher Or Dutch, Tank On Full, Keep It 100, Ridin' At A Low Speed, and Lookin'.

So far Duece has shot 3 music videos for songs off the Mars OG album, Tank On Full music video was released March 2,2018, Keep It 100 music video was released May 11, 2018, and Lookin' music video was released July 19, 2018. (Via YouTube)

Personal Life[edit]

Duece Hagerty has had many life threatening experiences throughout his life, In 2001 Duece Hagerty had Tiana his girlfriend at the time over to spend the night, the next morning Duece Hagerty's father found out he had company without his permission, this upset his father and it lead to an argument and then Duece Hagerty ended up getting pistol whipped by his father at the age of seventeen.

In 2006 Duece Hagerty was almost fatally hit off a bicycle coming home from work at 3am by a reckless driver.

In 2008 Duece Hagerty was riding dirt bikes at a makeshift dirt trail with Boss Fresh when Duece Hagerty fell off his dirt bike and was transported to the E.R unconscious where he receive treatment for lacerations to his face, knees, and arms, also Duece Hagerty received nine staples to seal up a huge gash in his leg that was sustained during the dirt bike accident.

In 2011 Duece Hagerty was involved in a car accident shortly after leaving the bar parting with some friends, his 1981 Chevy Camero was struck from the driver side in the middle of an intersection in [2], both drivers involved in the car accident were arrested and booked on a D.U.I.

In 2013 Duece Hagerty's Daughter was born.

In November 2013 Duece Hagerty's father passed away from prostate cancer, Duece Hagerty felt alone and lost in the world.

In 2015 Duece Hagerty met his girlfriend Ashley

In 2017 Duece Hagerty parted ways from his former Winning Season Apparel business partner "Mack Drag" due to unreconcilable differences, later that week Duece Hagerty ran into Mack Drag at a clothing store downtown Los Angeles, words were exchanged which resulted in a heated argument , threats were made but no blows were thrown, immediately after the altercation both Duece Hagerty and Mack Drag made the appropriate phone calls to parties near by to let them know that there was a confrontation between them both. After not speaking for 3 years Duece Hagerty and Mack Drag finally met up and buried the hatchet with talks of bringing back the original Winning Season Apparel brand, November 2020 Duece Hagerty got a call from a mutual friend saying that Mack Drag (Malcolm Overton) passed away from a brain aneurism, Duece Hagerty was devastated.

In 2019 Duece Hagerty was in his home studio when his brother Eric whom he was living with at the time came in confronting Duece Hagerty about house duties, this quickly turned into an argument which resulted in pushing and shoving, Duece Hagerty and his brother Eric began to tousle in Duece Hagerty's room which spilt over into the living home. The police showed up due to noise complaints from neighbors, both Duece Hagerty and his brother were questioned by police then released shortly after, no one was charged.




Blammin Hot Entertainment[edit]

In April 2011, Duece Hagerty started his own record label called Blammin Hot Entertainment. The label's first artist signed was Los Angeles based Kayoss The Rockstar. He also recruited two new producers to work in the studio with, RNU Productions, and Nick Vanelli.

Duece Hagerty signed his second artist L.J.

April 20,2011 Duece Hagerty's 1st mixtape "Weeds" was released through Blammin Hot Entertainment.

Community Service was the labels second mixtape release, released July 4th 2011.

November 24, 2012 The record label's third release was a 18-track compilation titled Winning Season, a collaborative mixtape between Duece Hagerty, J Space, Mack Drag, Millionaire Scoot, Kayoss the Rockstar, and TBagg!

December 25, 2012 the labels forth project was Duece Hagerty's debut album, California Native.

On August 2, 2013, the label released their fifth compilation mixtape 2013 Winning Season 2.

On March 21,2014 Duece Hagerty's 4th solo project "Rap Genius" was released through the Blammin Hot Entertainment imprint.

August 8, 2015 Duece Hagerty Drops one of the hottest mixtapes of the summer titled "California Summertime"

March 11, 2016 Duece Hagerty released MFKMR (My Fans Kept Me Relevant) EP

On July 16, 2016 Duece Hagerty followed up with back to back projects and released "California Summertime 2"

After taking a two year hiatus from album releases, On April 20, 2018 Duece Hagerty returns with one of his most creative, conceptually based albums titled "Mars OG"

One year later on April 5, 2019 Duece Hagerty released "22" EP through Blammin Hot Entertainment, Which consist of Rap, R&B, & Latin Hip-Hop music.

On July 23, 2019 Duece Hagerty released his 10th solo studio album and the sequel to his debut album titled "California Native 2"

June 12, 2020 Duece Hagerty released "The Blammin Manuscript", his 11th studio album, This album was released right in midst of the Corona Virus Pandemic (Covid-19)

May 14, 2021 Duece Hagerty released "Vibe With Me" Album through Blammin Hot Entertainment, his most versatile project to date, A mix between Hip-Hop, R&B, & Latin Hip-Hop music.
