Durango Cartel

The Durango Cartel, also known as the Herrera Cartel, is a Mexican drug cartel based in Durango City, Durango. Established in about 1945, the cartel is now an international organized crime syndicate, operating throughout North and South America.[1] In 2001, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration identified the Durango Cartel as one of the six principal Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) engaged in trafficking drugs into the United States.[2]
