A Dye transfer inhibitor, sometimes abbreviated as DTI, is an additive in coloured detergents that prevents the transfer of washed-out dyes to other textiles during the washing process.
Substance classes[edit]
How it works[edit]
During the washing process, DTIs form anionic complexes with released dyes and/or coloured particles. This prevents dye impurities from staining differently coloured textile fibres.
