Dylan Matthew is a singer, songwriter and producer from Southern California. Matthew has been featured on Billboard Dance's Top 50 Chart three times, which includes his work on “Love Is Gone” by Slander and “First Time” by Seven Lions, Slander and Dabin.[1]

Career[edit]

At the age of 18, Matthew began his music career by launching his YouTube channel where he posted covers of popular songs including Charlie Puth's “Attention."[citation needed] After gaining a fanbase on the platform through his covers, he released original material there with songs like “Sober”, which became his first single to stream a million times on Spotify.[2]

Matthew was noticed by producers in the EDM community, including Seven Lions Excision, Fatum, Kayzo, Tritonal, Au5, Slander, Jason Ross, Dabin, and Kai Wachi, all of whom he has collaborated with.[3] For many of his records, Matthew releases acoustic versions where he strips down the track for a more intimate, live-oriented style.[4]

Matthew has released on labels Monstercat, Proximity, Enhanced, Kannibalen Records, Quality Goods, Lowly, Barong Family and Ophelia.

His 2020 EP Kalopsia was followed with a charity livestream to support the NAACP.
