Dylan Nobiraki (野開 ディラン Nobiraki Dylan, born 16 April 2000) is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a Midfielder for Philippines Football League club Kaya–Iloilo.[2][3]
Personal life[edit]
Nobiraki was born in Japan. He is described as a "rangy passer whose vision is matched by his defensive physicality".[3]
Career[edit]
Youth[edit]
Nobiraki played youth football in Japan for the U15 team of J1 League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo.[4] He played high school football for Sapporo Otani High School, where he participated in the 2018 All Japan High School Soccer Tournament.[5][6] He graduated from the school in 2018.
College career[edit]
In 2018, he started played for the Niigata University of Health and Welfare, where the team reached the final of the 2022 All Japan University Football Championship, losing 3–2 to the Toin University of Yokohama. Nobiraki was in the starting 11.[5][7]
In 2022, Niigata UHW also played in the 2022 Edition of the Emperor's Cup, the domestic football cup of Japan, where the club made it to the second round before losing 2–1 to Kashima Antlers.[8][2]
Signing for Kaya[edit]
In February 2023, it was announced that Nobiraki would be signing his first professional contract with Philippines Football League club Kaya–Iloilo, who were currently 1st in the 2022–23 edition of the league. He was signed as a foreign reinforcement after a number of Kaya's players had left during the winter break.[3] He took the number 6 which was previously held by midfieler Oskari Kekkonen.[1]
On February 26, he made his debut as Kaya lost to Dynamic Herb Cebu, 3–2, assisting fellow Japanese teammate Daizo Horikoshi.[9] A week later, he would score his first goal for the club as Kaya beat Mendiola 1991 4–0.[10]
