DynaSys, a Division of QAD, is a company that provides advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software to manufacturing, distribution, and wholesale companies.
History
In 1985, DynaSys was founded by Augustin Holveck, a former planner from Adidas. He developed and launched one of the first computer-based supply chain planning and sales and operations planning software. [1] to address manufacturing companies' planning issues. The very first DynaSys product was ADAPTA DLS (Dynamic Lot Size); it was developed in the APL scientific programming language.
DynaSys began with a few large food and beverage customers such as Nestlé, Unilever, and Mars, supporting them from its headquarters in Strasbourg, France.
DynaSys sells its products and services to companies in six main industries: food and beverage[2], consumer products, automotive, life sciences, industrial equipment, and distribution and wholesale. The company’s product suite is called DynaSys DSCP (n.SKEP prior to 2015), which includes solutions for supply chain management, forecasting, and production planning. DynaSys DSCP is marketed as software as a service (Saas) using cloud computing.[3]
In 2017, DynaSys was positioned as a Challenger in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales and Operations Planning Systems of Differentiation.[4] and was certified DDMRP compliant by the Demand Driven Institute.[5]
