Eric Tillman, professionally known by his stage name E2, is an American Christian hip-hop artist, writer, producer, and minister. Tillman has released two studio albums and two singles since his musical debut in 2014. His song "One Name" from the studio album, Waiting Room, received critical acclaim from Christian hip-hop magazine Rapzilla in 2018.
Life and career
Childhood and musical beginnings (2013-2015)
Tillman was born in Elkhart, Illinois and raised in inner city St. Louis, Missouri. He attracted attention from Christian hip-hop label Nkosi Records in 2014 and was signed by them. Tillman adopted the famous slogan "all glory be to God" and began to use it to brand his music. In 2014, hereleased his debut studio album, A.G.B.T.G., under Nkosi. Tillman began touring with Yung Kriss, Anno Domini, and Charis.
Waiting Room, media recognition, CMP Gospel, and album preview announcement (2016-present)
On December 9, 2016, Tillman released his second studio album, Waiting Room, Independently. In May 2018, his song "One Name", which featured Unique Johnson, attracted attention from Christian hip-hop magazine Rapzilla. A music video to the song was released by Rapzilla on May 17. In October 2018, Tillman released an entry into Christon Gray's "Timeout Challenge". His freestyle peaked in the Top 18 on October 10.Tillman opened on the People Tour under Dee-1, Flame, and Bizzle. On May 1, 2019, he hosted a prayer re-dedication ceremony at the University of Evansville. Tillman is currently working on his third studio album. Due to be released sometime in 2020.
