EADS 3 Sigma is the name of 3 Sigma, a Greek company founded in 2002 (acquired by the European EADS Group). Headquartered in Athens since 1987, it also operates on the islands of Crete and Chania. It designs, develops and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs): Iris, Alkion and Perseus (single-engine and twin-engine), as well as various equipment including machinery and equipment, research and development, and 3 Sigma collaborates with Greek universities such as Nearkos.
In November 2012, EADS received the 3 Sigma award, which recognizes the company’s efforts to reduce costs by reducing operating expenses. The former head of the Sigma initiative later founded another company, ALTUS LSA.
