Ebenezer Kepombia, also known as Mitoumba, is an actor, scriptwriter, and film producer. He was born on May 19, 1970 in Bazou, Cameroon.

Biography[edit]

Training and start-ups[edit]

Ebenezer Kepombia was born on 19 May 1970 in Bazou in the department of Ndé, Western Region of Cameroon. He has a degree in languages[1] and is a trained teacher of German.

Career[edit]

He works as a German language teacher in Douala.[1]

He started his artistic career in 2000 with the series Les Déballeurs.[2]

His first feature film Le conjoint d'autrui, was made in 2005. He became a director and producer[3] of television series in 2007 with Foyer polygamique and La belle-mère in 2013.[1]

He acted in Mitoumba[4] in the Cameroonian series Foyer polygamique[5] alongside Salomon Tatmfo.[4] This series is broadcast in Spanish in Mexico.[6] He also plays the role of police officer Ondoa in the series Cercle vicieux,[7] of which he is the producer and which started airing in 2014 on the Cameroonian television channel Canal 2 International.

He plays in Ma grande famille,[8] an Ivorian series filmed in Ivory Cost which, in addition to the actors of the series Ma famille, includes other African actors such as Sékou Oumar Sidibé from Burkina Faso, Serge Abessolo from Gabon, Mouhamadou Diarra from Senegal, Att Junior from Mali Sékou Oumar Sidibé du Burkina Faso, Serge Abessolo du Gabon, Mouhamadou Diarra du Sénégal, Att Junior du Mali.

The series La Reine blanche[9] will be broadcast from Saturday 16 April 2016 on the television channel Canal 2 International.[10]

Since 2020, he has been directing the series Madame Monsieur which deals with household scenes.[11][12] In this series we see a well-known face of Cameroonian theatre Rigobert Tamwa, in addition to new stars such as Muriel Blanche who plays the role of Passy[13],[14], Emy Dany Bassong in the role of Sophie Ewane and Noëlle Kenmoe in the role of Anna, Julia Samantha Edima plays the role of Kim.
