Ebenezer Onyeagwu is the Group Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank.[1] He assumed this position in June 2019.[2] He is a graduate of Accounting from Auchi Polytechnic and University of Oxford.[3]

Ebenezer Onyeagwu attended Auchi Polytechnic where he studied Accounting. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma degree from University of Oxford.[4]. He is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School where he had a Senior Management Programme [5]
He had his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo state (Bendel state) in 1984 and 1987 respectively. While serving out the compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), he became a chartered accountant in 1989.[6]
Career[edit]
Ebenezer started his banking career in 1991 when he joined the now defunct Financial Merchant Bank, he later moved to Citizen International Bank.[7] He joined Zenith Bank as a senior manager in 2002 and was made managing director and ceo in 2019. [8]
Awards and Recognitions[edit]
Ebenezer was named CEO of the Year at the Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility (SERAS) Awards.[9]
