History[edit]

The magazine was earlier known as Eclectic Times and was a general interest magazine with a tagline Inspired by Northeast India. It was later rebranded as Eclectic Northeast in the year 2012.The re-launching of the magazine was held in presence of Shri Tarun Gogoi (the chief minister of Assam then) and the Olympic champion Mary Kom.[9]

The rebranding of the magazine brought with itself the magazine's effort to give more research-based stories such as opinions about the region, analytical views and information about the cultural heritage of the Northeast and reach wider Northeastern community outside the region.[10][11][12]
