Hello Twinkle1990, could you please specify why you think that the draft reads like an advertisement so that I can improve it? Honestly, I think that the tone is fairly neutral, and all depicted points of view, which, frankly, the draft only has very few of, are all attributed to reliable, secondary sources independent of the subject. Except for reference 6, which, however, is only used for referencing plain numbers, all cited sources are compliant with the criteria of "Wikipedia:Reliable sources". ECOVIS International is a global network of tax, accounting, auditing and legal service companies.

History

In 2003 the BayLa and Grieger Mallison Groups entered into a strategic alliance.[2] They established Ecovis through the merger of several German consulting firms in the area of tax, accounting, auditing and legal.[3] In 2006, the company had 120 offices in Germany, and 30 legally independent franchisees outside Germany.[4]

The founding of ECOVIS International followed in 2008. In 2016, the US CPA Firm Marcum LLP became an associated partner.

Corporate structure

Ecovis International is a Swiss association and structured as a network. Each firm within Ecovis is an independent legal entity with its own clients. Ecovis International has a management board and a supervisory board. Kay Friedrich Thomsen has been the president of Ecovis International since 2008.[5]

The network has offices in more than 80 countries and employs over 9,300 people.[6] In 2020, the worldwide revenue was over USD 1.3 billion, including revenue from associated partners in the United States. According to the British online magazine Accountancy Age, ECOVIS International is ranked number 17 among the “Top 25 International Networks 2021”.[7]

The clients of Ecovis are mainly family-owned businesses and mid-sized firms. According to the International Accounting Bulletin, ECOVIS International has been a member of the Forum of Firms since 2019.[8][9]
