edamama is a Philippine-based online-to-offline parenting platform reported to have over 75,000 parenting products.[1] The company was launched in May 2020.[2]

Originally an e-commerce platform, edamama expanded offline by opening pop-up and retail stores in mall locations starting in March 2023[3]. Its online platform offers an online gift registry, subscription services for everyday essentials, and an integrated portal for content and services for its community of members.[4]

As of November 2023, the company claims it has delivered over 3.5 million products nationwide.[1]

The company was founded by married couple Bela Gupta and Nishant D’Souza.[1] In 2023, Bela and Nish were selected as Endeavor Entrepreneurs.[5][6] Both are alumni of Stanford University Graduate School of Business.[7][8]

Fundraising history

In November 2023, the company announced closing its Series A+ round, which brought its total funding to $35 million.[1][9]

Edamama’s investors include Alpha JWC, a venture capital firm in Indonesia and Southeast Asia; GS Group, a South Korean conglomerate; Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc, a retail operator in the Philippines; Ayala Group’s investment arms ACTIVE Fund and Kickstart Ventures; Gentree Fund backed by Philippines' Sy Family, Foxmont Capital Partners, a venture capital firm in the Philippines; and Innoven Capital, a venture debt platform in Southeast Asia.[1][2][10][11]
