Edward Sherlock[1] (October 6, 1983) is an Irish singer-songwriter and is the lead vocalist of The Rattling Kind. He grew up on the north side of the city and was around Music from a young age because of his family. He did not properly start making music until later, though. In his late teens he spent time DJing during the vinyl era and only really started learning Guitar and singing in his early twenties.

Early life

Sherlock first came into contact with music through a guitar that had been in his family for years. His father had bought it when he was younger from a neighbor in their flats. Sherlock tried to learn from it as a child but did not get very far at the time. Later on he got the guitar back and started again. This time he stuck with it, learned a few chords, and realized he could sing as well. After that he started performing in pubs and small venues around Dublin.

The Rattling Kind

In the early 2010s Sherlock formed a band called The Rattling Kind[2][3] with some friends. The group played a mix of Irish folk and more modern influences. They began by playing small gigs and developing their sound over time.[4]
