Eddy van Wessel worked with international magazines like Stern, Paris Match, LeMonde2 and The Washington Post Magazine. He was 3 times honored as photographer of the year in 1996, 2004 and 2012 with work from Chechnya, Iraq and Syria.[2] Overall Winner of the Zilveren Camera Zilveren Camera[3] in 2013, 2015 and 2019, one of two photographers to win the prestigious prize three times.
He now covers the Middle East, with focus on Iraq and Syria.
