Edgard Chalabi (25 September 1928 - 4 May 1963) was a Lebanese chess player, two-times Lebanese Chess Championship winner (1956, 1958).
Biography[edit]
In the 1960s Edgard Chalabi was one of Lebanon's leading chess players. He twice won Lebanese Chess Championship: 1956 and 1958.
Edgard Chalabi played for Lebanon in the Chess Olympiads:[1]
- In 1958, at first board in the 13th Chess Olympiad in Munich (+4, =7, -8),
- In 1960, at first board in the 14th Chess Olympiad in Leipzig (+0, =1, -1).
His untimely death led to the cancellation of the 1963 Lebanese Chess Championship.
