The Edinburgh Castle Rockers are a professional Twenty20 cricket franchise based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Former New Zealand cricketer Nathan McCullum and Kyle Mills[1] They compete in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), a multi-country tournament sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and organized in collaboration with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association (KNCB). The Castle Rockers play their home matches at the The Grange Club in Edinburgh.

The team was officially unveiled in January 2026 as one of the founding franchises of the league, with its first season scheduled to commence in August 2026.

History

In January 2026, the European T20 Premier League announced its first three franchises in a press conference held in Sydney. The Edinburgh-based franchise was confirmed under the name "Edinburgh Castle Rockers," alongside teams from Belfast and Amsterdam. The franchise was established as part of a strategic effort by the ETPL and the Dutch cricket board to professionalize and expand the sport within continental Europe.

Ownership and Management

The Edinburgh Castle Rockers are owned by a high-profile consortium led by former New Zealand Cricketer Nathan McCullum and Kyle Mills. This marks McCullum's and Mills's first major foray into franchise cricket ownership.

Squad

The franchise made headlines during its initial rollout by signing several marquee international players.
