Edward Parker (police officer)

Edward Parker was a Metropolitan Police officer and detective.
He joined the force in 1893 and from 1929 to 1936 was head of its Special Branch, having previously worked in counter-espionage during the First World War and efforts against Irish Republican terrorism and Communist agitation in London.[1]
