Synopsis[edit]

Taibangnganba, a single son to a widow Memchoubi was brought up by with love and affection. Since his childhood, he wanted to become a film actor. Thus, when he grew up, he slowly became a famous actor of Manipuri Film Industry. Among his fans, Eethak, a fashion designer from Imphal itself got craze on him and in course of time, she became his girlfriend. Another girl named Eechel from Jiribam (a town of Manipur bordering the state of Assam) was a die hard fan of Taibangngaba who madly love the acting and personality of Taibangnganba. She even left her town to steal the heart of Taibangnganba. She tried her best to help him out of any kind of trouble that came across in his life.

Taibangnganba became too much proud of his fame and money. It led him to develop a high ego. Thus, he forgot respect and humanity to his fans, elders and even his film directors. He also had a rival actor in the industry named Sayonba. Sayonba’s elder brother one day broke both the legs of Taibangnganba in order to kill his carrier in film industry so that Sayonba could rule the Industry. Taibangnganba took two years to recover his injury and spend numerous amount of money on the treatment while spending his time idle due to his defect in legs. In this two years period of time, he became penniless and could not return the advance money taken from the producers during the signing of films. Thus, directors and producers replace him by Sayonba and pour him harsh words to pay back the advance money taken by him. Slowly, he became depressed and started asking for money to his fellow friends but he got no positive response. He faced all kind of humiliation, insults which could not be tolerated by an actor.

In this time, his girlfriend Eethak who went to South India tour for a series of fashion shows had a good proposal of marriage from a rich doctor and thus her brother Athouba accepted it. When she heard the information from her brother, she refused but her brother insisted her. In order to save her love affair, she came out to Imphal by leaving her programmes behind. But in that very day, she found Taibangngaba’s dead body hanged into his own room but people assumed that he was killed by Athouba as he was the first person who entered the same room. Thus Athouba was arrested.
