The E.R.C (Egyptian Radio Club), is the 3rd oldest active club in the United States and was formed in 1929.[1] The E.R.C owns three repeaters, and its main amateur repeater is the 146.760Mhz repeater with a PL tone of 141.3.[2] The 146.760 repeater is located on the KDNL tower next to the KDNL TV station. The clubs other two repeaters are located on the S.I.U.E (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville) water tower in Edwardsville, IL . The clubs secondary repeater is the 146.790Mhz repeater with a PL of 127.3 and an offset of -.6MHZ. The clubs additional repeater is the 442.400Mhz repeater has a PL of 127.3 and an offset of +5.000Mhz.[3] The Egyptian Radio Club hosts two nets throughout the week. The clubs primary net is on Tuesdays at 8PM on the 146.760Mhz repeater.[4] The club hosts a 10 Meter Net on Wednesdays at 7pm, at or around 28.420 MHz USB. All Licensed amateurs are permitted to check into the nets. The Egyptian Radio Club hosts a Hamfest annually on the second Sunday of every June, at the Holy Family Community Center in Granite City, IL. The current E.R.C president is Larry Unfried (WA9KJV) and the Current repeater trustee is Marty S. III (N9PPJ). The E.R.C meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30pm.[5] The location of the E.R.C. meetings are at the Holy Family Community Center in Granite City, IL. The E.R.C's current Echolink Node number is "541608".[6]
