The El homaydat are a tribe of the Houara tracking and tracing their origins to Bandar Qena, Qena Governorate, and have a population of more than 75,000. People have strong participation in local elections, but competition for seats in the People's Council is weak, and because of the small number of people compared to competing tribes such as El ashraf and Arab tribes.
