Electronics Design Group, Inc. (EDG) is a home theater room design and engineering contractor that specializes in the design, integration and installation of high-end home movie theater and home automation system technologies for private residences, as well as a provider of complete theater, light control and automation services for businesses.
EDG is located in Piscataway, New Jersey.
EDG is member of the Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA), CEDIA, ASID, AIA, and IIDA. It employs 11 specialists in audio, video, lightning, telephone and whole-house automation and design.
History[edit]
The company that would become EDG was founded in 1987 by President Bob Gullo, at that time called Audio Video Consultants. Gullo was joined by Ed Condiracci, who became Vice President. The company focused on developing consumer electronics hardware and low-voltage wiring.
In 1991, Gullo expanded into lighting control systems, advanced structural wiring, video cameras, telephones and integrated control. This marked the transition from retail to custom system design, and the company was renamed Electronics Design Group, Inc.
