Commentaries[edit]

"Viewed as a whole, Elena Bontea's painting shows a circular, programmatic coherence. The artist is part of that creator's tag that does not say that they have found the path definitively and inexplicably, but is constantly searching for it. Consistent. This search, tenacious and always surprising, points to a perfectly artistically traceable route. Bontea found "the theme" and "the laitmotif" as if from the beginning. [...] If we were to characterize the whole work of Elena Bontea through a minimum of words, I would say frustration: "latent ecstasy." - Vladimir Bulat[3]
