Elena Dahl

Elena Pavlovna Dahl (née Kornilova; born 10 February 1947 in Saint Petersburg, Russia; then Leningrad, USSR), is a Swedish author and translator.

She came to Sweden in 1968, where she studied literature, philosophy, and languages at the University of Gothenburg.[1] She studied Nordic languages in Russia and worked as a freelance journalist for Radio Sweden in Stockholm, later on as a librarian and a translator, while also writing poetry and prose. She published her first work, Seven Russian Poets in Stockholm, in 1996. Elena Dahl's poems "Summer Time and Winter Clocks" is published by Serum, Stockholm 1999. Her historical novel "Allways returning to you" (co-authored by Vladimir Oravsky and K P Larsen) is published by h:ström Text & Kultur, Umeå 2009.
