Eliezah Titus Busonga (born 01 December 1986), is a Ugandan Doctor, Environmentalist, human rights activist, feminist and philanthropist. He is the executive director of Real Health Uganda, effective March 2010.[1]

From May 2009 until June 2020, he served as the chairperson of Eliezah Foundation Initiative.[2] He has served as the director of projects at the Internet Society (ISOC) in Uganda from 2018.[3]. He Is the President of the Green Guild Foundation.

Background[edit]

Busonga was born in Kampala District in the Central Region of Uganda, a Capital city of Uganda. Busonga attended St. Henry's College Kitovu in Masaka District. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Medicine and surgery from the Kampala International University and a Post graduate degree in Business Administration from Uganda Management Institute. He has a master's degree in Public Health, from Moi University.

Professional career[edit]

In 2005, Dr. Busonga established the Eliezah Foundation. Between 2017 and 2014, he worked with various government departments in different volunteer and permanent positions including the Gender Ministry, The Health Ministry. In 2010, Dr. Busonga Joined Real Health Uganda as their executive director. He Currently works here as the Chairperson of the Board and The Executive Director.[4]. In 2017, he was appointed as the Head Of Projects at Internet Society Uganda Chapter, a position he left in 2020 but was re-appointed in February 2022 to the same Position. In 2020, he was also appointed the President of Green Guild Foundation, where he still serves. [5] Between 2010 and today, Dr. Busonga continues to work as a Clinical Consultant and surgeon, He has represented international institutions like, The Asia Africa Clinical Trials Partnership, The Third Doctors, [6] and Various institutions in Japan. He has worked with academic institutions to lecture on healthcare and quality improvement in the sector.

Family life[edit]

Dr. Busonga is a descendant of one of the prominent families in Kampala, Uganda. He is a nephew to former deputy chief Justice Elizabeth Mpagi Bahigeine and a father.
