Elie Technologies
In 2013, Elijah founded Elie Technologies, a company specialized in renewable energy and ICT. The company provides the African continent, but firstly, the Democratic Republic of Congo with products and services that meet the needs of the Congolese people. Their products and services are also accessible to the population in the deepest parts of the Congo.
ELIE MiFi Solar Lantern
On 11 February 2015, Elijah Lubala invented The ELIE MiFi Solar Lantern; a multi-purpose, solar powered, wifi enabled light that provides light, the power to charge cell phones and a wifi hotspot host for up 5-10 devices. The device is charged by a solar panel that utilizes solar energy, thereby eliminating the need to connect to the grid for providing its services.
The ELIE MiFi Solar Lantern is a product of Elie Technologies that is designed to be a revolutionary, standalone lighting solution. Its initial objective was to provide natural, affordable resources to those in the DRC who suffer from lighting and power problems.
Around 91% of DRC's population live with no access to the grid or a source of sustainable, reliable power. As a solution, these multi-purpose, solar powered, MiFi enabled lights give the average citizen in the DRC, and in fact, in any country, access to light, a charging station for their mobile phones and a connection to the World Wide Web.
Furthermore, they remove the requirement for high upfront costs which have, until now, prevented hundreds of millions of people across Africa from accessing the benefits of solar powered lighting systems in their homes.
The Elie MiFi Solar Lantern serves to assist anyone experiencing a lack of electricity.
ELIE LANTERN: Word Origin
Both 'ELIE' and 'LIGHT" are deeply rooted in the Word of God. 'ELIE' is an ancient name for God. As for 'Light', it is found 139 times in the Old Testament and 232 times in the New Testament of the Bible.
It is evident that light is of both physical and spiritual importance. Physically, light illuminates the universe. The Sun provides energy, and both the Sun and the Moon serve as tellers of time.
God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. (Genesis 1:16 NIV)
Spiritually, light symbolizes the manifest presence of God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God is described as 'a great light' and 'The true light' to the world:
the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. (Matthew 4:16 NIV)
The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. (John 1:9 NIV)
Taking these meanings to heart, Elie Technologies presented the ELIE MiFi Solar Lantern: a device that uses physical light from the Sun as energy and makes it your own - to serve and bless in times of darkness.[citation needed]
