Eliot Talemwa is a Ugandan Land activist from kiryandongo, He attributes to mobilizing local communities to protect them from powerful Multinational and private land grabbers[1] such as Agilis partners, Kiryandongo sugar limited and Great season company limited.[2]

Trial and Prosecutions[edit]
In 2010 12th November, while trying to defend local community in kiryandongo from land grabbers, he was arrested with 8 others(Fred Mwawula,Ramu Ndahimana, Samuel Kusiima,Martin Munyansia, Martin Haweka, Amos Wafula,George Rwakabisha, Muloni Wanjala and Pamela Mulongo) for allegedly threatening violence and beating a Police officer on duty which once convicted carries a sentence of up to 4 years.[3][2][4]
