eliumstudio is an industrial design agency based in Paris, France. Founded in 2002 by Élise Berthier, Marc Berthier, Pierre Garner and Frédéric Lintz, the studio develops products at the intersection of technology[2], everyday use, and sustainable design. Its portfolio includes collaborations with international companies such as Free, Withings, McDonald’s, Schneider Electric, and Castalie. eliumstudio’s work has been recognized with major international awards including Red Dot, iF Design, and Janus de l’Industrie.[3]

The studio was established in 2002 and developed from the reflections of Marc Berthier.[4] It currently employs around ten designers.[5]. They are the designer of the Tykho radio[6], that was featured on the cover of Time magazine to illustrate “The Rebirth of Design[7]. They are also the designers of the En Archipel project[8], With its tablets that can be assembled to form a digital board and its wobble stools, the En Archipel project was designed for middle school students.

Notable collaborations

  • Free — design of Freebox POP and Ultra, both awarded by Red Dot.[9]
  • Withings — connected health devices such as the Blood Pressure Monitor (2011), Steel HR watch (2016), and Body Cardio scale (2016).[10]

  • Castalie — eco-designed water dispensers, including the Mini-Pure model awarded the Janus de l’Industrie.[14]

  • Dior Dior eyes[18], a virtual reality helmet that integrates sound taped in 360º and high definition images[19].
