Elizabeth Nyantakyi

Elizabeth Nyantakyi is a career diplomat who currently serves as Ghana's High Commissioner to Zambia. She was commissioned for this role by President John Dramani Mahama in November 2025 and presented her letters of credence to Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema on January 27, 2026.

Career

Nyantakyi has nearly three decades of experience in the Ghana Foreign Service. Her previous roles include the Consul-General of Ghana to Mauritius from August 2023 until late 2025, Director, Diaspora Affairs Unit working within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, where she helped finalize Ghana's Diaspora Engagement Policy, Deputy Head of Mission as Ghana's High Commissioner in Ottawa, Canada and other postings such as serving in various capacities at Ghana’s missions in Washington D.C., Paris, and Madrid.
