Elizabeth Van Rensselaer Delafield (1908–1983) graduated Ethel Walker School in 1926 with a minor in landscape architecture [1] and became a major influence in the work of Spanish Revival architect Robert H. Spurgeon Jr. [2]

Elizabeth was the daughter of the politician Edward Henry Delafield [3]
