Ella's Bubbles

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ella’s Bubbles, founded in 2005 by Laimonis Magone, is an American Original Equipment Manufacturer company based in Chicago, Illinois. Ella’s is best known for their luxury walk-in bathtubs, but also manufactures showers, bathtubs, pet spas, and accessories.

History[edit]

In 2005, Ella’s Bubbles entered the bathtub market by selling fixtures and distributing bathroom tiles. But during the Great Recession, Ella’s re-evaluated consumer needs and pivoted by designing and pioneering the first Ella’s Bubbles walk-in bathtubs with jetting therapies: the Deluxe and Companion.[1]. “Walk-in baths can be a life-saver for those with limited mobility. Safety features like non-slip floors, safety handles, and low thresholds can give seniors and disabled individuals the ability to bathe independently without fear of falling” [2]. By 2015, Ella’s Bubbles rebranded with a new logo and several new models added to the collection, including bathtub models with a more convenient, outward swing door[3]. In 2021, Ella‘s launched into the international market with over 25 walk-in bathtub models and unique accessories. Ella's Bubbles has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau [4].

Products[edit]

Ella's Bubbles designs, engineers and builds accessible bathtubs that are easier to enter than traditional bathtub models. The company specializes in bathing products for people with limited mobility or who are disabled. Ella’s Bubbles bathroom products are available in American hardware and home improvement stores, such as Home Depot. Additionally, Ella products can be purchased from Ella’s Bubbles distributors on various e-commerce sites.

Inward Swing Door Walk-in Bathtubs[edit]

Walk-in Bathtubs designed with an inward swing door use a door that swings into the bathtub to allow the bather to enter and exit the tub. This is ideal for consumers who have bathroom items that may prohibit an outward swing door from opening. Ella’s Bubbles has ten inwards swing door walk-in bathtub models, including the Petite, which was labeled “an excellent option for anyone who wants a whirlpool tub but has trouble getting in and out of a standard tub” by the Chicago Tribune[5].

Outward Swing Door Walk-in Bathtubs[edit]

In 2015, Ella’s Bubbles launched a new product line of walk-in bathtubs designed with outward swing doors. The outward swing door opens into the bathroom in order to create more interior space to facilitate easier access upon entering and exiting. Ella’s Bubbles has eleven outward swing door walk-in bathtub models, including Transfer models. Transfers walk-in bathtubs use an outward swing door that can clear objects up to 21” and is designed for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. The design of the door allows “users to comfortably scoot in and out of the tub from their chair”[6].

Two-Seat Walk-in Bathtubs[edit]

In 2008, Ella’s Bubbles launched the “first and original walk-in tub for two” [7]. These models are distinguished by two molded seats and a centered door. Since then, Ella’s has added two more models, including the largest two-seat walk-in bathtub, the Big4Two.

Lay Down Walk-in Bathtubs[edit]

Ella’s Lay-Down Walk-in Bathtubs are constructed like a standard bathtub, but include a door placed in the center to allow a safer entry/exit. Additionally, Ella brand Lay-Down bathtubs can include jets for therapeutic relief.

Infusion Microbubble Therapy Pet-Dog Spa[edit]

Ella’s Bubbles has expanded to the pet industry with the launch of the Infusion Microbubble Therapy Pet-Dog Spa in 2019. The most unique feature is the inclusion of Infusion Microbubble Therapy which has the ability to moisturize, exfoliate, and relieve dermatological issues in both humans and pets.

Accessories[edit]

In addition to walk-in bathtubs, Ella’s Bubbles manufactures bathroom accessories including faucets, safety grab bars, tempered glass bathroom screens, rain shower column kits, and the patented 360° swivel tray as a “convenient [item] for keeping your important things safe and dry”[8]

Therapeutic Bathing[edit]

Since 2008, Ella’s Bubbles has incorporated therapeutic jetting in their walk-in bathtub models. The pioneer models, the Deluxe and Companion, came equipped with hydrotherapy and air jet therapy. In 2016, Ella launched the Ultimate, which featured an independent hydro-foot massage therapy option. A year later, Ella’s Bubbles added Infusion Microbubble Therapy to available therapeutic options.
