Ellen Tate (born January 21, 1935) is an American musician. She is the lead guitarist and vocalist of the pop band Tate Sisters, which also consists of her five sisters, Lucy, Julienne, Amber, Elena, Judy and Mary. She having a recognizably light and girlish voice.

Personal life[edit]
In 1959, Tate met Bob Melamed while working as an assistant in Nashville General Hospital. In an interview with NBC, He and Tate were married on December 12, 1960, she knew that Melamed wanted to have her children and that Tate had "a crush on her".
